You can talk to a sympathetic person who understands farmers and rural life. Calls will be answered in person from 7am-11pm every day of the year. The FCN also understand that picking up the phone and calling can be difficult. They have an <a href="https://fcn.org.uk/blog/2023/08/15/what-to-expect-when-you-call-fcns-helpline/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">article</a> that explains what will happen once the call is made to reassure farmers.
RABI - Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution

RABI understand the agricultural community’s unique needs. They offer a free wellbeing helpline, in-person counselling and online click-and-chat mental health support. They also offer mental wellbeing training that is specific to the agricultural industry.
The Samaritans
Call: 116 123The Samaritans provide round-the-clock, compassionate support, free of charge. People can call or or email jo@samaritans.org. They also offer a helpful <a href="https://media.samaritans.org/documents/Coping_with_distress_booklet_FINAL_1.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">guidebook</a> for those struggling to cope.
Yellow Wellies
Although Yellow Wellies focuses on farm safety, they have many resources and training available including their agriculture specific mental wellbeing advice <a href="https://www.yellowwellies.org/LittleBookOfMindingYourHead_5thEdition_1122/?page=1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">booklet</a>.

The StayAlive App offers resources to support someone feeling suicidal or anyone worried about someone else being at risk.

Mind is a mental health charity with local branches across England. They provide a range of services, including counselling and support groups.

Wellbeing and mental health: A guide to looking after yourself and others
Every Life Matters with the support of Cumbria County Council have developed a very useful booklet about looking after yourself and people around you. It has a lot of information about areas such as lifting your mood and managing your stress bucket.
NHS: Every mind matters
Explains what stress is, what might cause it and how it can affect you. Includes information about ways you can help yourself and how to get support.
National directory of farm and rural support groups
A directory of national and regional rural support organisations the Royal Countryside Fund that will help to signpost the sources of help and advice for those who need assistance with the challenges of rural work and life.
